About DYOR.tax
What we do
DYOR.tax is an independent crypto tax calculator that generates downloadable PDF and CSV reports from your exchange transaction history, wallet data, DeFi activity, and prediction market exports. DYOR.tax helps users calculate crypto taxes from Binance, Coinbase, Kraken, EVM wallets, Solana wallets, Bitcoin addresses, Polymarket, and country-specific filing flows.
How it works
The calculation engine parses your exchange CSV, normalizes every transaction, and applies the method implemented for the selected country flow. For US reports, FIFO is the default; LIFO or HIFO is appropriate only when supported by a valid, contemporaneous specific identification. Current mixed-source US reports do not keep 2025-and-later lot queues separate by wallet or account and require reconstruction before filing. Australia, India, and South Africa currently use a disclosed FIFO software assumption. New Zealand reports currently use FIFO, while IRD also permits weighted average when the selected method is applied consistently across all holdings of the same asset. Canadian reports use a running adjusted cost base (ACB) and flag potential superficial-loss adjustments from the history provided. UK reports implement Section 104 pooling with same-day and 30-day matching. Users should still review missing, off-platform, spouse, and affiliated-person activity before filing.
If you also had on-chain activity, you can add wallet addresses for scanning. The system covers 40+ supported networks (including Solana), plus Bitcoin. On-chain data is merged with your exchange CSV, with cross-source self-transfer detection to avoid double-counting.
